DSCthe sacred has always had two sides, the revered and the reviled.
Both belong to the same category:
people set apart from ordinary life.
That is how the same founder can be called a visionary one year and a fraud the next without anything about them changing.
The design choices follow from this.
The punk styling puts these figures in the visual language of the outsider.
We show them young, before the face hardened into a brand.
We put fire and bones on their sleeves, the attributes of martyrs, the instruments of both their glory and their torture.
The series doesn’t tell you who the villain is and who the hero is.
It puts them on a shirt and leaves the verdict to whoever wears it.
